Nursing Specialist with Patient Care Expertise

Darwin Private Hospital, part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join its team. As the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory, we offer a unique opportunity for nursing professionals to make a difference in the lives of patients from across Australia.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the RoleThis is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse to take on a leadership role in delivering high-quality patient care. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment.
You will work closely with patients and their families to develop and implement personalized care plans, promoting beneficial relationships and effective communication. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and plan individual patient care, taking into account each patient's level of experience and education.
- Develop and utilize strategies to promote effective communication and collaboration among healthcare teams.
- Work in partnership with patients and families to make informed decisions about care provision.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to relevant standards and regulations.
- Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
- Current NT WWC card (Working with Children check).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Anaesthetics/PACU or DSU Nursing.
- Post-graduate certificate in Perioperative, Anaesthetics/PACU, or ICU (or working towards).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality patient care, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
