Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team at Programmed. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and processing of fortnightly/monthly payroll for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees.
- Data Management: Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities comply with federal and state regulations, including tax laws and superannuation requirements.
- Issue Resolution: Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Reporting: Assist in generating payroll reports and summaries for management review.
- Reconciliation: Help reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in Payroll, Accounts Payable or Receivable is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with payroll software systems is advantageous.
- Attention to Detail: Strong numerical aptitude and high level of accuracy.
- Communication: Very good verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Team Player: Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
