About This Role

This is a senior leadership position that plays a crucial part in the successful delivery of complex electoral events. As Deputy Electoral Commissioner, you will be responsible for driving organisational change, providing executive leadership and management to ensure the smooth execution of these events.

The appointee will possess exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to build strategic relationships and exercise delegated powers in the absence of the Electoral Commissioner. They will contribute to shaping the strategic direction of the organisation, exercising strong business acumen and executive presence.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a proven track record of leading complex organisations at an executive level, possessing relevant tertiary qualifications in business, public administration or law. You must also have a strong ability to operate with the highest levels of ethical behaviour, honesty, integrity and respect.

In this capacity, you will work closely with various stakeholders to implement and drive organisational change, ensuring that the organisation remains agile and responsive to emerging challenges. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding communicator, able to articulate their vision and strategy effectively to both internal and external audiences.
