About the Deputy Electoral Commissioner Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of Deputy Electoral Commissioner, a key leadership role that requires integrity, impartiality, and transparency.

Job Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for implementing and driving organisational change across various disciplines, providing executive leadership and management in the delivery of complex and significant statewide electoral events, operational activities, and technology modernisation.

  • Reporting to the Electoral Commissioner, the appointee will exercise all delegated powers in the absence of the Electoral Commissioner.
  • The successful candidate will possess experience leading a complex organisation at an executive level and hold a relevant tertiary qualification in business, public administration, or law.
  • A proven ability to operate with the highest levels of ethical behaviour, honesty, integrity, and respect is essential.

This rare opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Deputy Electoral Commissioner to drive the strategic direction of the organisation and assist in building and maintaining strategic relationships, networks, and partnerships across government and non-government organisations.

The Deputy Electoral Commissioner will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of elections and other electoral events, working closely with the Electoral Commissioner to achieve organisational goals.
