About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager Risk Data to lead our team in developing and managing a centralized and reliable source of data for Group Risk. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team that codes business rules and enhances data sources that support analysts and modeling.

Your role will be pivotal in developing and managing a centralized and reliable source of data for Group Risk to enable sourced-aligned analysis and risk modeling, enabling oversight of key risks and accurate regulatory reporting.

You will engage with stakeholders across the business to meet current and future risk data needs, support transformation programs, and define the future state of risk data for BOQ.

This role is crucial in driving a strong risk culture aligned with BOQ's strategic direction, digital transformation, and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to consolidate and interpret data to build and maintain a consistent standard and interpretation of data sources across multiple business segments.
  • Establishing governance and controls over risk data, you will ensure common data definitions and a single source of truth across Group Risk Data and Analytics.
  • Deliver data solutions across Credit Models & Credit Risk Insights and Analytics, monitor regulatory developments, and adapt data processes to meet new expectations.
  • Build relationships across the organization, you will ensure Group Risk's requirements are captured in transformation programs.
  • Contribute to the performance culture and capability across the Group Risk function.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a proven track record in financial risk, data risk management, and credit risk. You should have experience with Databricks or similar cloud platforms like Snowflake, and be comfortable with source control in the Azure suite or similar.

Being highly experienced at SQL is a must, and it would be highly valued if you have a background in a data-focused role, such as Data Engineering or Data Architect with a strong understanding of the ETL process.

A solid understanding of Banking Services, especially Credit Risk, is desired. Experience in managing projects surrounding decommissioning and migration of source systems would be highly valuable.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to manage and prioritize work independently.

You will also have strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills to build solid partnerships across the Bank.
