CPB Contractors Pty Limited is seeking a skilled MEI Project Engineer to oversee the mechanical aspects of the North East Link project, contributing to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure systems in road tunnels.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity offers a dedicated professional with a passion for large-scale infrastructure projects to lead and contribute to all phases of the project, from preliminary planning and procurement to construction, commissioning, and handover of MVAC, TVS, Hydraulics, and Wet Fire systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Lead and contribute to all phases of the project, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.
  • Procurement & Contract Management: Manage the successful delivery of MEI packages, including drafting and managing tender documentation, evaluating tenders, and overseeing subcontractor contracts.
  • System Design & Engineering: Review design documents, perform constructability and commissioning reviews, and ensure compliance with project-specific requirements, codes, and regulations while optimizing project performance.
  • Project Delivery & Management: Develop and submit construction and commissioning work packs, manage subcontractor budgets, and ensure seamless coordination between internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and regulations, conducting quality assurance inspections and preparing documentation to demonstrate compliance.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably in the infrastructure or construction industry. Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
