The ideal candidate will have a blend of DevOps Engineer, Client-facing Consultant, Puppet trainer, and Pre-Sales Engineer skills.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a DevOps Automation Expert. The successful candidate will work directly with customers to design and implement solutions that help them deliver software faster and more reliably.

The role involves delivering Puppet training and workshops to customers, assisting the education team in keeping the training accurate and up-to-date, providing pre-sales support to Sales & Marketing, developing, publishing and maintaining Puppet modules and products, contributing blog posts and other communication for Puppet, and working with R&D and Product Management to develop and test Puppet products.

Requirements:
  • Able to manage time and projects effectively.
  • Solid experience working with Puppet Enterprise or Puppet Open Source (Puppet 4 or anything more recent).
  • 5+ years of experience in software DevOps, Systems Administration, Automation, or Network Infrastructure.
  • Able to travel up to 10% domestically.
  • Solid background programming with Unix &/or Linux SysAdmin or DevOps, including automation.
  • Strong customer relations & presentation skills - able to speak well in front of an audience and with customers.
  • Excitement about working with the Puppet Enterprise and Open-Source community.
  • Possession of a technical degree (CS/IT/Eng/ITSec) or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and interact as a member of a group or team.
