About this role

CrowdStrike is looking for an experienced Database Reliability Engineer to join their data services team. This person must be highly technical and have a strong passion for working with data plane services such as Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Redis, and MySQL.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement database solutions that ensure high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy data-centric systems
  • Work closely with developers to resolve database-related issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends
  • Provide expertise on database architecture, design, and implementation

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of database concepts and relational databases (e.g., MySQL)
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch) and message queues (e.g., Kafka, Redis)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
  • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
