About the Business

Our Digital, Data and Technology team is responsible for enabling the department to deliver its services through the provision and governance of information management, systems, data and technology. Their goal is to provide our workforce with the tools they need to do their jobs effectively, while making it simpler for the community to access the information they need.

Role Details

The Data Governance Architecture Lead is a role within Finance, Digital and Customer Support/Digital, Data and Technology and is accountable to the Manager Technology Governance and Assurance for:

• Establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework that ensures data integrity, security, and compliance with the Department's corporate strategy.
• Applying advanced database modelling skills with real-time/data warehouse data architecture design principles to support metrics, collection, management, analysis, integration of raw data, and data driven value.
• Collaborating with business and IT leadership stakeholders to oversee development and maintenance of a data quality program to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data assets.

Special Conditions

• Some out of hours work may be required.
• Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
• Role Status: Term up to 30/09/2027.

Essential Qualifications

Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related roles. 5 years' experience with data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data cataloguing.

Screening Checks

If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check, which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the South Australia Police or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.

If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS, including periodic assessment during your employment.
