Strategic Vendor Partnership Manager

About the Role:
The Strategic Vendor Partnership Manager is responsible for driving profitability and strategic direction by working closely with our vendor partners and internal sales teams. This role serves as a liaison between vendors and Ingram Micro, providing specialized consultative services and implementing, driving, and maintaining vendor programs, marketing, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building and driving mutually beneficial strategic relationships with our vendor partners
- Responsibility for profitability across the vendor portfolio
- Developing and facilitating profitable partnerships and strategic management of the vendor relationship
- Involvement in external meetings with customers and their account managers to understand customer needs and increase market share
- Developing vendor and market segmentation business plans to present to internal and external stakeholders
- Leading and driving business opportunities for a particular vendor or project across multiple customer segments
- Understanding and implementation of vendors' key initiatives across the business
- Acting as a resource to the department as a vendor expert
- Focusing on driving new sales opportunities across our customer base
- Offering constructive feedback on the competitive landscape
- Strong commercial understanding, including negotiation of terms and conditions, rebate structure, buy-in, and deals
- Working closely with the Vendor Operations Manager to determine parameters for inventory stocking strategy, return of product, forecasting, payment decisions, excess and obsolete inventory management, and priority allocation
- Product lifecycle management
Requirements:
- Strategic mindset, passionate, energetic, and creative
- Effective communication skills and proven success working with cross-functional teams, with the ability to build credible stakeholder relationships and engagement
- Results-driven, customer-focused, accurate, and analytical
- Able to plan and implement marketing plans and achieve business objectives
- Experienced in multiple market sectors, with a strong business acumen
- Ability to thrive within an innovative, fast-paced, and competitive environment
- Product management/sales/procurement and marketing positioning experience
- A marketing qualification is desirable
- Strong Excel/MS Office skills, financial/numeric skills to work with pricing, stock/inventory management, and reporting
