Support Officer - Volunteer Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Officer to join our team in Armadale, Western Australia. As a key member of our regional team, you will provide administrative, logistical and management support to Volunteer Brigade leaders, DFES Managers and Local Governments.

The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative, logistical or volunteer management roles, possess strong communication and stakeholder relations skills, and be able to work independently prioritising tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level administrative support to Volunteer Brigade leaders, DFES Managers and Local Governments.
  • Coordinate promotional, communications, community, recruitment and retention activities for Volunteer Brigades.
  • Assist with governance and compliance requirements to ensure readiness and regulatory adherence.
  • Support the Superintendent and regional team in prioritising tasks and managing activities.
  • Serve as a liaison with volunteers, units and external stakeholders to facilitate engagement and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Experience in administrative, logistical or volunteer management roles.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder relations skills.
