Senior Health and Safety Coordinator

This role involves supporting the AWS Data Center Planning and Delivery programs.
- Deploy programs covering health and safety elements of leadership, planning, operational controls, continuous improvement, and performance management.
- Ensure businesses operate in accordance with jurisdictional requirements and AWS safety protocols.
- Review due diligence risk assessments with real estate, preconstruction, construction operations on health and safety aspects to ensure adequate implementation.
- Coordinate with project managers to prioritize health and safety in planning and execution throughout all phases.
- Monitor general contractors' compliance with onboarding requirements in Avetta.
- Perform campus health and safety kickoff sessions and review General Contractors' Construction Safety Management Plans.
- Document data and anecdotes in standard reporting tools for DCPD and H&S leadership teams.
- Manage and visit 3rd party/internal H&S resources on DCPD projects.
Applying knowledge of jurisdictional requirements, regional best practices, cultural norms, and location-specific characteristics improves DCPD activities in health and safety. This role plays a key part in deploying mechanisms that manage health and safety, developing competencies, and ownership of health and safety in the business. Diplomacy, patience, and tact are necessary to earn trust in relationships to advise, instruct, and challenge DCPD teams effectively on health and safety.
