Job Title: Health Promotion Officer

We are seeking two passionate individuals to work with local communities, councils, and partner organisations to design, deliver, and evaluate health promotion projects that improve community health and wellbeing.

About the Role
  • The successful candidates will plan, deliver, and evaluate health promotion initiatives focused on equitable food environments, movement & active communities, social connections & inclusion, and gender equity & prevention of violence.
  • They will build strong partnerships across community, health, and government sectors.
  • These professionals will engage diverse communities in designing and delivering projects that improve community health and wellbeing.
  • Additionally, they will advocate for systems change that creates healthier, fairer, and more connected communities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote healthy eating and physical activity within local communities.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to build partnerships and support the delivery of health promotion projects.
  • Collaborate with diverse communities to design and deliver projects that address specific health needs.
  • Advocate for policy changes that promote health equity and prevent violence.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in health promotion, public health, community development, or related field.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities.
  • A passion for equity, systems change, and making a lasting difference.
