Job Description:

The post of Social Work Team Leader is an exciting opportunity to join our Adult Health and Social Care service.

As a senior professional, you will have operational and strategic oversight of existing specialist Social Work teams.

Your key responsibilities will include providing team leadership capacity and resource, covering during team lead absence, and delivering an effective service that achieves agreed outcomes.

You will work in collaboration with staff, partner organisations, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality care for adults with multiple and complex needs.

This role offers a unique blend of service delivery, performance management, and staff development opportunities.

As a Strategic Thinker, you will streamline pathways between services and develop shared understanding of roles and remits.

Continuous learning and professional development are integral to this position, ensuring our staff teams provide safe and effective care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Diploma or degree in Social Work/Occupational Therapy
  • Commitment to undertake training to the required level within an agreed timescale
  • Experience of managing a team delivering a professional service to identified client groups
  • Experience of identifying and managing risk
  • Driver's license
  • Post-graduate qualification in management or commitment to undertake training to the required level
Benefits:

This permanent position offers 36 hours per week, working Monday to Friday over 52 weeks per year.

The salary scale starts at £54.92 per annum, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Others:

This role requires membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme.

Candidates must commit to PVG Scheme membership prior to commencing employment.
