Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Nepean Private Hospital. As a key member of our Patient Services Team, you will be responsible for managing a busy reception desk, answering and redirecting calls, and maintaining accurate and effective record management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a fast-paced reception desk, providing excellent customer service to patients and staff
  • Maintain accurate and effective record management systems, including preparation of medical records
  • Perform Health Fund Checks as required
  • Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Complete other clerical tasks, such as data entry, as required

Requirements:

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Highly developed organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and effective record management systems
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and other relevant software
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team, with a strong focus on customer service and quality care
