Payroll Officer

As a highly skilled Payroll Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll function. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze and process timesheets for multiple locations to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Understand taxation of employer-paid benefits and PAYG to provide expert advice and guidance.
  • Manage new starters and terminations efficiently and effectively.
  • Generate fortnightly and monthly financial reports to provide insights into payroll performance.
  • Leave Processing/Deductions/Allowances/Bonus/Choice of Super to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Build and foster strong relationships across the business to drive collaboration and improve communication.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience in payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, awards, and ability to interpret Employment Benefits Agreements (EBAs).
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to generate financial reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication.
  • High level of professionalism, dealing with sensitive and confidential documents and personal information.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to uphold compliance standards.
