Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Payroll Officer to join our dynamic HR team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services, ensuring system reliability, compliance and detailed reporting. You'll be part of a supportive HR team where your work contributes directly to smooth business operations.

About the Role
  • Manage payroll and time management systems to ensure legislative compliance and company policies.
  • Process end-to-end payroll, including payments and statutory obligations.
  • Maintain employee records such as new hires, terminations, pay adjustments and leave.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports and financial summaries to support management and compliance.
  • Assist with payroll and finance projects, suggesting improvements to processes.
  • Respond to payroll enquiries and produce reports as needed.
Your Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing end-to-end payroll for at least 350+ employees.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (able to do V-lookups, pivot tables).
  • Experience using KeyPay payroll software advantageous.
  • Experience in processing multi-state payroll and understanding relevant legislation, awards and taxation.
  • Confidence in using and auditing payroll and time management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Good organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills to work well with HR, Finance and other internal teams.
  • A proactive attitude to support improvements in payroll processes.
