Recreation Officer

The ideal candidate for this Recreation Officer position will have experience in providing care and supports to older people or individuals with disabilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing team activity planning, getting to know residents as individual people, and building lifestyle programs to suit their interests.

You will work in a supportive and friendly environment with a strong focus on creativity, empowerment, and continuous training.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing team activity planning
  • Communicating and sharing the activity planner with residents and staff
  • Delivering leisure programs
  • Helping to improve the leisure program
  • Participating in communication activities

Requirements include a Current Police Check, Certificate III or IV in Aged Care assisting clients with medication, and a Certificate III Leisure Health or Certificate IV Leisure and Health (desirable).

A key aspect of this role is working closely with residents to understand their needs and preferences, and using this information to develop tailored lifestyle programs.
