Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled individual to take on the role of Duty Manager in our aquatic and leisure facilities.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our centre, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors and staff alike. This includes effective deployment and use of resources, organisation of duty rosters, and supervision of lifeguarding activities.

  • This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent time management, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and manage resources effectively: Organisation of duty rosters, allocation of tasks, and maintenance of a safe working environment.
  • Lifeguard supervision: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality lifeguarding services, adhering to centre protocols, and maintaining a focus on customer and staff safety.
  • Regular feedback and performance information: Providing timely and constructive feedback to senior personnel regarding shift staff performance.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant qualifications: Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate or similar standard.
  • First aid certification: Current First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR training: Current CPR Certificate and Oxygen Equipment.
  • Experience in a similar role: Previous experience in managing a team and coordinating activities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary education: TAFE Certificate of Attainment (Pool Operations).
  • Time management skills: Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations: Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing pool operations and workplace health and safety.
