Windows Endpoint Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Windows Endpoint Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining standard Windows SOE images aligned to ISM / Essential Eight / ISO 27001. This includes building and configuring Windows images, as well as deploying applications via Intune (and/or Endpoint Configuration Manager/MECM).

The role also involves creating policies, managing compliance, and implementing Conditional Access, baselines, Autopilot, app, and update rings. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, and monthly patching of Windows versions with minimal disruption.

Another key aspect of this role is security control implementation, including BitLocker, Defender policies, hardening, and secure baselines mapped to public-sector standards.

Furthermore, the engineer will use PowerShell and related tooling to automate builds, config, and remediation tasks.

They will also be responsible for troubleshooting L3 escalation for SOE, application, and deployment issues; clear runbooks/docs will be maintained.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years in Windows Endpoint Management/SOE engineering.
  • Proven experience in SOE build, application packaging, and Intune (deploying builds) experience; MECM/SCCM a plus.
  • Strong skills in PowerShell, GPO/baselines, Defender, BitLocker; public-sector compliance exposure (ISM/E8/ISO).
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
