About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wedding Events Manager to join our talented Events team at Pier One Sydney Harbour Hotel, a property of Marriott International. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of all wedding and social events and develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute weddings and social events from conception to completion, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver bespoke events that exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Wedding Sales team to plan and execute Wedding Expos and partner events, driving revenue growth and brand awareness.
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing costs.
  • Work closely with the culinary and banquet teams to plan and execute menus, beverage services, and event layouts.
  • Meet and greet with clients on the day of the event, review event details, and ensure a smooth execution.
  • Follow up with clients post-event to gather feedback, finalize billing, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning, wedding coordination, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional events, exceeding client expectations, and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards, wedding planning, and event execution.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as required.
