About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to join the Executive Leadership Team at Mackay Northern Beaches State High School.

As a Deputy Principal, you will play a key role in shaping the school's educational vision and leading the implementation of quality teaching and learning programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and work closely with the Senior Sector Team and students to improve educational outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement quality teaching and learning programs.
  • Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community, and stakeholders.
  • Assist the Principal in leading the school community to develop a shared educational vision.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Be futures-oriented and strategic in leading complex change.
Requirements
  • Experience in leading teaching and learning, particularly in relation to the Australian Curriculum and QCAA senior schooling programs.
  • Experience in One School timetable development and supervision management.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and positively as part of a team.
  • Form partnerships with parents, government agencies, community groups, industry, and business.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead complex change.
  • Be organised and manage time effectively.
