About the Role

Mackay Northern Beaches State High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Principal to join its progressive leadership team. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in shaping the school's strategic direction and contributing to the delivery of high-quality educational outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the school's teaching and learning programs, with a focus on implementing the Australian Curriculum and QCAA senior schooling programs.
  • Develop and implement effective timetabling and supervision management systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, community groups, industry, and business partners.
  • Lead complex change initiatives and drive school improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Principal and other senior leaders to develop and implement the school's strategic plan.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance and provide coaching and support to achieve these standards.
  • Manage resources effectively to achieve school goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading teaching and learning, with a focus on curriculum implementation and student outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, and the community.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and lead complex change initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
