About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Officer to join our team in South Australia, dedicated to improving heart health outcomes for First Nations peoples.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a trusted peak body that has been leading heart disease prevention, detection, and support for over 60 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of the First Nations Heart Health Project South Australia, ensuring culturally safe and evidence-based heart health education and support.
  • Foster strong connections and partnerships that promote better health outcomes for First Nations people.
  • Develop and deliver culturally appropriate resources, education, and training to support First Nations communities.
  • Prepare and deliver key reports to stakeholders, highlighting project progress and impact.
  • Collaborate across internal functions and with external partners to integrate research and insights into programs and activities.
Requirements
  • A minimum of [estimated salary: AU$80,000 - AU$110,000] per annum, depending on experience.
  • Experience in a health-related field or equivalent, with knowledge of community development or health-related fields.
  • Demonstrated program and project planning and management skills, with understanding of issues, enablers, and barriers relating to First Nations Health.
  • Proven cultural understanding and sensitivity, with experience working directly with First Nations communities.
  • Ability to travel to communities across South Australia, with potential interstate travel.
