At our residential care services, we provide individualised support to promote the dignity, respect, and independence of our residents.

We are seeking caring individuals to join our team in Northam.

As a Residential Care Worker, you will support residents with their daily living, social, and emotional needs.

You will play a key role in enhancing residents' well-being and quality of life.

This is a part-time permanent position with a variety of vacant shifts available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care including assistance with hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support residents' independence and participation in meaningful daily activities.
  • Assist with the safe administration of medication in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively with nursing and management personnel.
  • Contribute to infection prevention and workplace health and safety practices.
  • Assist with mealtime support to ensure nutritional needs are met.
  • Foster a kind, respectful, and supportive environment that upholds our values and the rights of residents.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work across different sites and shifts, supporting continuity of care.

Key Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care.
  • Experience working in an aged care setting as a carer.
  • Ability to relate to elderly customers with empathy and collaborate effectively with health professionals and service providers.
  • Ability to interpret individual care plans and provide tailored care to meet individual goals.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Understanding of cognitive strategies, social interaction, and meeting the mental and emotional health needs of residents.
