Position Responsibilities

  • You will generate planning and design ideas, conduct research, document precedents and scale studies, develop diagrams, render site plans, and contribute to graphic and visual production.

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of planning and urban design concepts, building typologies and critical dimensions, utility and infrastructure systems, land development considerations, and phasing and implementation techniques.

  • Apply a strong conceptual design ability to projects of varying complexity and sites of divergent scales, beginning to integrate interdisciplinary criteria to effectively move forward planning and urban design aspects of complex projects.

  • Effectively communicate internally through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means.

  • Actively collaborate at a project team level by developing, communicating, and critically evaluating ideas.

  • Manage time and workload to meet project task deadlines and commitments with regular interaction and direction from project leaders and team members.

  • Participate as a junior member of the team.

  • Bring energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and a disciplined work ethic to the role.

  • Immerse yourself in office activities, lectures, design reviews, and professional development opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture, Planning, Urban Design, or Landscape Architecture.

  • LEED accreditation preferred.

  • Interest in large-scale planning, mixed-use and transit-oriented development, and working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

  • Initiative, process innovation, problem-solving, and decision-making quality with high attention to detail, precision, and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, parametric, and rendering software, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
