Job Title: Operational Compliance Specialist

Job Description

The key function of the RTO Manager is to lead and oversee operational, compliance, and strategic aspects of the Registered Training Organisation. This includes ensuring that all relevant standards and regulations are met.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with a focus on planning, communication, and staff management. The RTO Manager must have experience in managing RTO operations, as well as a deep understanding of TAC/ASQA compliance standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily RTO operations, including staff supervision, course coordination, assessment validation, and timetabling.
  • Ensure full RTO compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Lead internal audits and reviews, including random checks of delivery, data, and documentation; support external audits and corrective actions.
  • Align RTO strategy with organisational goals, contribute to governance reporting, and manage regulatory and funding data submissions.
  • Engage with external bodies and manage stakeholder communication.
  • Monitor enrolments, AVETMISS data, student progress, complaints, and assessment records; support improvements to student resources and satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

  • Proven experience in managing RTO operations.
  • Strong understanding of TAC/ASQA compliance standards.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in education or compliance.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and staff leadership skills.
  • Experience managing data systems (AVETMISS, LMS, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and document management.
  • Experience in school-based VET programs or multi-campus delivery.
  • Working with Children Check (current).
  • National Police Clearance (current).
