Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Education and Lived Experience Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering education and training programs that promote inclusive, recovery-oriented care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver LLE-specific education and training for staff across the organization.
  • Lead and mentor LLE staff through discipline-specific supervision.
  • Build and nurture stakeholder relationships across internal and external networks.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advocate for the expansion and integrity of Family Carer and AOD LLE roles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Lived experience as a family carer and/or personal experience of substance use and recovery.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Family Carer or AOD perspective role within the MHAOD sector.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and professional writing skills.
  • Experience in training development, supervision, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Intentional Peer Support Trainer certificate and a driver's licence (mandatory).
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Training & Assessment (desirable).
