Senior Financial Analyst Job Description

As a Senior Financial Analyst at our global headquarters in Adelaide, you will play a key role in shaping the financial future of our organization. You will be responsible for providing financial analysis and decision-making support to senior management, as well as preparing month-end reports on key metrics and delivering them to stakeholders.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Partnering: Support financial analysis and decision-making
  • Management Reporting & Financial Analysis: Prepare month-end reports on key metrics and deliver to stakeholders
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working collaboratively with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the organization
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for action
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and accounting standards, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, fostering collaboration and communication to achieve shared financial objectives
What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst who possesses a strong command of SAP Finance systems, demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools, and advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably within the energy industry or a similar sector.

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's level qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • Recognized professional certification such as ICAA, CPA, or equivalent
