Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker to contribute to the Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program.
This program provides free nonclinical, community-based supports aimed at facilitating recovery for people experiencing severe and persistent mental illness.
About The Role
You will offer one-on-one and group support to assist recovery, build skills for independent living, and help participants contribute to their communities.
This is a part-time role located in Tamworth, requiring travel across the region.
- SUPPORTING PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES
- PROVIDING CASE COORDINATION FOR INDIVIDUALS
- ESTABLISHING POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS
- PROMOTING SERVICES IN A POSITIVE MANNER
- ASSESSING CLIENT SAFETY AND PLANNING
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- TERTIARY EDUCATION IN SOCIAL WORK OR RELATED FIELD
- NSW DRIVER'S LICENCE
- KNOWLEDGE OF MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES
- EXCELLENT OBSERVATION, WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- EXPERIENCE RELATING TO AND BUILDING RAPPORT WITH PEOPLE
- WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S CHECK
- -FIRST AID CERTIFICATE DESIRABLE-
