Community Engagement Specialist

The Community Engagement Specialist will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with the community and driving positive impact.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To establish and maintain effective communication channels with the community, ensuring that their needs are accurately understood and addressed;
  • To facilitate community-led initiatives and projects, providing strategic guidance and support as required;
  • To oversee the coordination of community events and activities, promoting engagement and participation among community members;
  • To monitor and report on governance compliance, ensuring that all activities align with relevant regulations and standards;
  • To manage resources and projects, allocating budget and personnel accordingly to maximize impact.

The ideal candidate will bring a unique combination of skills and qualifications to this role:

  • A degree in a related field or significant practical experience, typically 3-5 years, in community engagement, liaison, and/or business management;
  • Proven expertise in community outreach, event planning, and project coordination;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships;
  • Experience working in a regional area, with knowledge of local government structures and processes.
