Senior Construction Materials Testing Specialist

About the Role
This role is pivotal in ensuring quality and safety of construction materials used in major projects.
The incumbent will be responsible for performing manual tasks in field and laboratory, including preparing and testing soil, aggregates & concrete samples. This will involve undertaking medical assessments, including drug & alcohol screens, and completing tests such as triaxials, permeabilities, aggregates, rock testing and materials.
Strong communication skills are required to liaise with clients onsite on testing schedules, procedures and results. The ability to ensure testing is performed according to industry standards (AS1289, AS1012) and undertake routine quality assurance checks and calibrations is also essential.
Requirements:
- Experience in laboratory and field testing in soils, aggregates and/or concrete to relevant standards.
- Understanding of NATA ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- NATA approved Signatory.
- Current NDM Radiation license (advantageous).
- Manual driver's license.
- Commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety.
- Physical fitness for manual labour-intensive role.
