Head and Neck Cancer Care Specialist

Clinical nurse consultants provide expert care and support to individuals and families navigating head and neck cancer diagnoses. These dedicated healthcare professionals work closely with patients, their families, and other medical teams to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care throughout the patient's journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver holistic, patient-centred care from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.
  • Act as an advocate, educator, and clinical expert to ensure patients feel supported every step of the way.
  • Work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in oncology.
  • Approved postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to head and neck cancer or equivalent qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by NSW Health.
  • Demonstrated integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in daily practice.
