Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Crime Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our compliance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of financial crime risks across the organization.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage and lead the financial crime compliance team, collaborating with senior management to ensure regulatory compliance and effective risk management. You will also support the implementation of a three lines of defense model across the organization and collaborate with senior management to ensure the integration of financial crime risk and compliance into decision-making processes.

You will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing development, implementation, and currency of the organization's financial crime compliance frameworks and programs, including monitoring business activities and working with the risk and compliance team on periodic risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead the financial crime compliance team
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure regulatory compliance and effective risk management
  • Support the implementation of a three lines of defense model across the organization
  • Ensure the ongoing development, implementation, and currency of financial crime compliance frameworks and programs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in a senior financial crime compliance role
  • Extensive knowledge of AML/CTF Act 2006, Rules, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g., compliance, risk management, governance, law)
