Effective risk management is crucial in today's business landscape. Our organization recognizes the importance of a robust financial crime compliance framework, which is why we are seeking an experienced Senior Manager Risk and Control to join our team.

This role will play a pivotal part in establishing and actioning business unit level controls to manage our financial crime risk. You will be responsible for designing and implementing controls that drive better risk and compliance outcomes, including:

  • Overseeing the effective design and execution of controls owned by the Financial Crime team.
  • Developing and championing a Continuous Improvement culture within the team, focusing on optimizing processes and streamlining existing frameworks.
  • Ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreement standards for delivery and upholding all policy and procedures.
  • Applying sound risk management practices by proactively identifying and responding to risks, reporting them as necessary.
  • Building a high-performing team through coaching and mentoring.

To excel in this role, you will need experience in operational risk management and compliance, preferably within banking or financial services. A strong understanding of financial crime risk management frameworks, particularly AML/CTF, Sanctions, and ABC, is essential. Additionally, exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, ability to negotiate and influence at all levels, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
