Operational Risk Manager

This role plays a critical part in a bank's risk management strategy, focusing on identifying and mitigating operational risks to ensure business continuity.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Update Operational Risk Policies and Procedures to reflect regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Implement a robust risk management framework and monitor its effectiveness in Business as Usual (BAU) operations.
  • Monitor and maintain Branch risk limits aligned with established principles and policies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, identify prominent operational risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with business units to design and implement effective risk controls.
  • Review new products and processes for potential risks and recommend appropriate mitigations.
  • Support Department Head in coordinating with external parties, including regulatory bodies and auditors.
  • Prepare monthly reports to Management and Committee highlighting key risk areas and mitigation efforts.
