Clinical Leadership Position Overview

This is a senior leadership role that requires partnering with Clinical Directors and collaborating with operational, corporate, and clinical leaders to ensure safe and compassionate patient care.

The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance, supervision, management, and direction for specialties in relevant clinical streams, focusing on service development, high standards of patient care, efficient resource utilization, and appropriate oversight of practices, trends, and indicators.

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Extensive recent management experience with a proven track record of leading staff and managing services in the relevant setting, supported by a relevant tertiary management qualification and/or work experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing business, strategic, and operational plans, along with a comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and current nursing/midwifery, medical, and health issues pertaining to the Stream

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and streamline operations
  • Collaborate with Clinical Directors and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Provide leadership and guidance to teams to achieve high standards of patient care and service delivery
  • Maintain a culture of safety and quality within the organization

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with current registration
  • Extensive recent management experience in a relevant setting
  • Relevant tertiary management qualification and/or work experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in business, strategic, and operational planning
  • Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and current nursing/midwifery, medical, and health issues
