Nurse Unit Manager Role

This senior leadership position oversees the operational management and leadership of nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide strategic direction for nursing services within the unit/ward.
    • Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote excellence in nursing practice.
    • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, healthcare teams, and management.
    • Lead and manage nursing staff to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with a relevant health authority.
  • Tertiary experience in emergency department nursing or a related field.
  • Proven clinical management and leadership experience in a healthcare facility.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including shift work.
