Job Opportunity: Strategic Financial Leader


About the Role:

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
    • Develop and implement financial standards, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
    • Support pricing and margin optimization strategies for freight forwarding services.
    • Prepare and present regular financial reports and management accounts.
    • Oversee working capital management, including receivables, payables, and cash flow optimization.
    • Facilitate freight forwarding-specific considerations, such as banking arrangements, pre-payments, currency hedging, and trade-related credit.
    • Collaborate with operations teams to understand shipment billing, carrier costs, insurance, consolidation/deconsolidation, and customs charges.
    • Lead finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation, automation, business intelligence, and analytics tools.
    • Cross-functional collaboration with Ops, Sales, Customs, and Commercial teams for forecasting, cost control, and pricing discussions.
    • Develop and manage quarterly forecasts and yearly budgets.
    • Lead and mentor finance professionals, promoting performance and succession planning.

  • Qualifications:
    • Strong foundation in financial management and leadership.
    • Experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry.
    • Proficient in financial analysis, planning, and reporting.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Able to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
    • Knowledge of financial systems, processes, and regulations.
