Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician, Team Lead is accountable for performing scheduled and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, identifying issues, and leading a team of maintenance associates in repair efforts.

  • Carry out regular and proactive maintenance on production machinery.
  • Identify and lead maintenance associates in the repair of industrial equipment.
  • Assign work orders and train maintenance associates in the repair of extrusion lines.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Leads to coordinate and prioritize job assignments for maintenance associates.
  • Evaluate the accuracy and safety of all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Maintenance Manager to establish goals and exceptions for maintenance associates.
  • Train and develop maintenance associates in preventive maintenance and repair techniques for extrusion lines.
  • Ensure clear communication of projects, timelines, and updates between shifts.
  • Coordinate, plan, and organize equipment and facility repairs, assigning tasks as needed.
  • Develop and coach maintenance personnel on performance standards for the department.
  • Delegate preventive maintenance tasks and oversee their completion using CMMS.
  • Assist maintenance associates in diagnosing and repairing facilities and equipment.
  • Respond to on-call emergencies as required.

This role requires a minimum of ten years of maintenance experience and leadership skills developed in an applicable field. Knowledge of scheduling, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, PLC programming, and plant utility operations is also necessary.
