Job Title: Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Specialist

This is a full-time position based at Wetherill Park, New South Wales.

About the Role:
  • We are seeking a Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Specialist to assist in the production of Gyprock, Plasters & Compounds products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a range of fixed and mobile plant in a dynamic environment to manufacture high-quality products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Operating machinery and ensuring materials are produced to commercial standards, performing quality checks as required.
  • Identifying and reporting equipment and product faults.
  • Unloading and staging various products.
  • Being involved in identifying risks and hazards and contributing to initiatives that focus on improving quality.
  • Houskeeping and other duties as required.
  • Forklift driving required (3T or above) and completing pre-start checklists.
What You Bring To The Role:
  • A great work ethic and strong commitment to safe working practices.
  • A current Forklift license with experience is essential.
  • Ability to interact well with others and contribute to the team.
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • High attention to detail, with good mechanical knowledge and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Computer literacy and experience with ERP/HMI systems highly desired.
  • Willingness to work a rotating roster.
  • Proven success in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume, multiple-stage continuous manufacturing/factory environment desirable.
  • Strong understanding of production operations.

To succeed in this role you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, manufacturing or business
  • 2+ years of experience in a production environment
