Job Title: Public Health Covid-19 Advisor

This is a critical role in delivering high-quality policy and strategy to support the Victorian community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

About the Position:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on public health matters related to COVID-19.
  • Develop and implement policies that align with government objectives and priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the department and externally.
Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide high-quality business intelligence, authoritative advice, and sound policy recommendations to senior management.
  2. Oversee the development of policies that meet government objectives within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.
  3. Review and report on high-priority issues, risks, and trends, and prepare and present comprehensive reports and briefs on complex issues.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • An experienced professional with a passion for public health.
  • Strong strategic leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships with people and key stakeholders.
  • The capacity to work in complex contexts, identifying risks, gaps, and solutions in a time-pressured environment.
