Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team in ACT. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring that all medical and mobility equipment is serviced and repaired to the highest standards.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical repair, with experience working in a similar role. They will be well-versed in troubleshooting complex issues and possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a safe working environment. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing their time effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and repairing medical and mobility equipment in the field and workshop
  • Liaising with customers, service coordinators, field technicians, workshop technicians, and other internal departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Preparing and submitting quotes for repairs
  • Completing service reports and submitting them in a timely manner
  • Providing feedback on product quality and serviceability to inform continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and procedures
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technological advancements

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Diploma or certificate in mechanical or electrical repair, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 25kg and work at heights (if required)
  • Current driver's license
  • Willingness to obtain Police Check, Working with Children's check, and NDIS Worker Check
  • Fully Covid-19 vaccinated (3 doses)
