About the Role

We oversee all aquatic and leisure centres in our council. We deliver high-quality activity programs, promote our city as a leader in sport and recreation, and provide a safe and memorable experience for visitors and customers. Our award-winning multi-purpose facility offers excellent programs and services. We have both indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, including an Olympic 8-lane pool, toddlers' pool, health centre, crèche, and picnic and play areas.

We're looking for an experienced individual who shares our passion for sport and leisure to join our team as a Fitness and Membership Advisor on a permanent, full-time basis.

Position Purpose

  • Evaluate gymnasium and recreation programs to meet community needs and provide exceptional customer service
  • Develop, implement, and monitor specific program services for various client groups with diverse needs
  • Implement membership sales, member liaison, administration, and reporting to maximise growth and retention
  • Develop and implement programs to increase participation and viability with economic and social returns
  • Ensure resources are well-suited, maintained, and developed according to relevant procedures and best practice models

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in health and fitness management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective programs and services
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
