As part of our 2025 apprenticeship program, we are seeking highly motivated applicants for an exciting and unique opportunity in the role of Apprentice Maintenance Electrician.

Job Summary

This 4-year apprenticeship will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to learn a skilled maintenance trade and to work with a unique range of equipment in our modern food production facility. Upon successful completion, the Apprentice will obtain a nationally recognized qualification (Cert III Electrotechnology).

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of our highly skilled Maintenance Electrical team on a Monday-Friday day shift roster
  • Take part in safety initiatives to achieve a 100% commitment to safety, health, and wellbeing in the workplace
  • Learn industry best practice for both preventative maintenance and breakdown of electrical equipment and systems
  • Problem solving and fault finding
  • Use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) including work orders, data entry, and stores lookups
  • Process automation and instrumentation
  • Interact with Production and wider Engineering teams
  • Attend mandatory blocks of TAFE for the duration of the apprenticeship
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • 100% commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing in the workplace
  • Ideally, you will have successfully completed a school-based electrical module, e.g., Cert II Electrotechnology
  • Possess a genuine interest in learning the electrical trade
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
  • Possess strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Intermediate IT skills with regards to Windows-based operating systems
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-selection aptitude testing as part of selection activities
  • Hold Australian citizenship or possess permanent residency
  • Ability to commence full-time employment
  • Possess a driver's license or hold a learner's permit with a plan to obtain a driver's license
  • Demonstrate superior communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people and cultures
  • Ability to commit to a 4-year apprenticeship
  • Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment
