About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Powerline Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the poles and wires that deliver electricity to our communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of powerlines and associated infrastructure
  • Work safely and efficiently in a team environment to meet project deadlines
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and safety protocols
  • Participate in on-the-job training and classroom learning to develop skills and knowledge

About You

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual who is eager to start their career in the energy industry. As an Apprentice Powerline Worker, you will have the opportunity to work outdoors, gain a nationally recognized qualification, and make a positive contribution to your local community.

Requirements

  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent resident status
  • Upper limb strength and endurance to undertake tasks involving carrying and stabilizing ladders, climbing, reaching overhead, and working at heights
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20kg (34kg for a two-person carry) and stand for extended periods
