Job Title: Assurance Associate

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Assurance Associate. This role will play a crucial part in strengthening our Compliance, Risk Management (CRM) and governance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assurance and monitoring activities across various regulatory areas, including the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Privacy, and Trustee obligations.
  • Enhance, monitor, and report on the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Manage breaches, incidents, and operational risk activities such as risk profiling and control design.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory change.
  • Review business operations to identify compliance breaches and operational incidents, determine root causes, and recommend improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in law, finance, business, commerce, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial market environment, preferably in funds management.
  • Proven expertise in risk and compliance, developed through consulting, auditing, or in-house roles, with a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements for Funds Management enterprises.
  • Proficiency in using and understanding risk management systems.
  • Advanced skills in data analytics, with the ability to interpret and analyse complex datasets.
  • Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
