Your New Role

The onsite role provides advanced nursing assessment, diagnosis, care, and intervention to Aged Care Residents within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner. As a clinical expert, you'll provide high-level clinical nursing, leadership, management, and governance to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients' health concerns and promote a healthy lifestyle with a strong focus on preventative health care.
  • Work collaboratively and in partnership with the wider medical team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Provide clinical leadership within your scope of practice and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree of Nursing
  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Advanced clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of illness and injury and health promotion relevant to the role and within individual scope of practice
  • Demonstrated extensive professional and/or leadership experience
  • Demonstrated clinical problem-solving skills, including conceptual and analytical ability
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience in quality improvement, its practical application in meeting patients' needs and quality service delivery
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience of research findings to support evidence-based practice
  • Computer literacy
  • Evidence of appropriate and continuing professional indemnity insurance
  • Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
