Patient Transport Specialist

This is a challenging role that requires flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a Patient Transport Officer, you will be responsible for transporting patients safely and efficiently across Victoria.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will also need to maintain current knowledge of standards of care, equipment functions, and uses, as well as comply with clinical and operational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing accurate clinical handovers for all transfers
  • Delivering high-quality patient care in a timely, safe, and efficient manner
  • Ensuring compliance with clinical and operational policies and procedures
  • Maintaining current knowledge of standards of care and equipment functions
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Safely operating patient transport vehicles in accordance with road laws

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport or equivalent qualification
  • Current full driver's license and good driving record
  • Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Ability to work professionally as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills
