Proudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides emergency aeromedical and allied health services for people in rural and remote Australia. About the Program
Mobile Patient Care (MPC) offers Non-Emergency Patient Transport across Victoria and some areas of New South Wales. We work with a large fleet of ambulances and support our transport services with RFDS aircraft.
MPC provides clinical care for people travelling from home to hospital, hospital to hospital and hospital to home, as well as transport to and from specialist clinics.
About the Role
As a PTO, you will be responsible for the safe and courteous transportation of patients with a variety of medical conditions. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring comfort and care during transit.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to :
Perform patient assessment and intervention on-roadProvide high quality patient care and treatment during on-road transportDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholdersPerform independently and problem solve within established policies and proceduresWork collaboratively with other team membersTo be successful, you will need :
A minimum qualification of Cert III in Non-Emergency Patient care, Diploma of Nursing, or equivalent. Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) students may apply on completion of second year subject units.To have the availability to work 10 and 12-hour shifts across 7 daysTo able to drive in both city and country traffic conditionsTo be compassionate, professional, and dedicated to providing excellent serviceExperience working in the NEPT sector in an equal role desirable but not essentialSatisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Full Drivers Licence, Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.Our Benefits
